Fredericksburg is a beautiful city in the Texas Hill Country filled with rich history and well preserved historic buildings. Founded in 1846 and named after Prince Frederick of Prussia, Fredericksburg is an excellent location for a custom built home. The city is located in the middle of Gillespie County and only a few miles from Enchanted Rock, with San Antonio and Austin being just a drive away. Though it is not a large city, Fredericksburg is well known for its fine German dining and unique shopping district.
